Last week, Keir Starmer launched the Labour Party’s transformative manifesto for change after 14 years of chaos and division, propped up for the first 5 years by the Lib Dems when they launched a decade of austerity, decimating our public services. The manifesto sets out a fully costed set of policies that will bring the change that this country so desperately needs to put the NHS back on its feet, put police back on the streets, bring economic security and growth, set up Great British Energy as part of a drive to achieve net zero energy by 2030, bringing energy security and 650,000 new, high skilled jobs and establishing a Border Security Command to smash the criminal people smuggling gangs instead of the Tories’ costly Rwanda gimmick that has been a complete failure.
