Cambridgeshire’s growing economy needs more than a barebones infrastructure. The Tory Government is reducing the amount paid to County Councils to sustain services. BY 2019, IT WILL BE ZERO.
In Cambridgeshire, social care is inadequate, schools are not getting enough money, libraries are not getting enough new books, roads and pavements are in disrepair.

The Tories call this Transformation; we call it cuts. And these often affect the most vulnerable in the county. Cambridgeshire Tories have slashed social care funding SIX YEARS in a row, passing on massive cuts from successive Coalition and Tory governments.

Labour Councillors led the fight for extra funding recently. Labour proposed a 3.99% rise in Council Tax this year to help stem these cuts. The Tories voted for an inadequate 2% rise, UKIP for 0%.
