South Cambs Labour has planned a series of events in the run up to the referendum to get the message across locally that Britain is stronger in the EU.
Linda de Chenu, South Cambs Labour EU campaign champion, said: "Remaining in the EU is vital for the rights and protection of current and future generations. Millions of jobs are linked to our EU membership. British workers benefit from EU agreements on workers’ rights, including the right to holiday pay, paid maternity and paternity leave, anti-discrimination laws, equal pay and protection for agency workers."
Today (Thursday 2nd June) saw the final weeks of campaigning kick off with Daniel Zeichner, Labour MP for Cambridge joining South Cambs Labour members to speak to local people in Great Shelford.
On Sunday 5th June campaigners will be setting up a street stall from 2:30pm on the corner of Dodford Lane and High Street, Girton.
On Wednesday 8th June Luton MP Gavin Shuker will join us from 12noon outside Budgens, High Street Sawston.
On Saturday 11th June the campaign will be back in Great Shelford on Woollards Lane, opposite Tescos.
Come along, say hello and join the campaign!
